Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will likely introduce maternity leaves in the central contracts of Pakistan Women Cricket Team players. According to reports, the decision to add maternity leaves to contracts was made after Pakistan Women’s captain, Bismah Maroof, announced an indefinite break from cricket.

According to the current contract, there is no clause for maternity leave, nor does PCB offer any support for women cricketers during this period. According to the latest developments, women cricketers will be offered medical perks and indefinite maternity leave in their central contracts.
Bismah Maroof will continue to earn her monthly salary according to the ‘A’ category central contract, and she will also be offered medical benefits. Bismah will become the first player in Pakistan’s cricket history to be offered maternity leave.
