Umar Akmal is Now a TikTok Comedian

Flamboyant middle-order batsman, Umar Akmal, never stays away from the news as the 30-year old seems to have found a new activity during his time away from the game. Akmal took to Instagram to request his followers to follow him on popular social media platform TikTok.

Akmal uploaded a video on Instagram with the caption, “Follow my TikTok account U.akmal96.”

Akmal was banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from all cricketing activities for three years after he failed to report approaches by bookies. However, the ban was reduced to 18 months after an appeal. His ban was further reduced to only twelve months as he decided to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), which has already been served. The court also imposed a fine of Rs. 4.2 million.

Akmal will be allowed to reintegrate into cricketing activities after paying his fine and complete the rehabilitation course given by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Akmal said that his only goal is to make a comeback to the national team and is determined to showcase his talents on the pitch. Akmal is active on social media these days. He can be seen getting back into physical fitness by doing his gym work and exercise.
