Fawad Chaudhary, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, has handed Rs700 million to media houses

According to Fawad Chaudhary, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has paid 700 million rupees to media firms on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s orders.

In a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry stated that the money has been due for a long time. He went on to say that due of the payment by the MoIB, not only have media workers’ financial concerns been alleviated, but media houses have also been protected.

He went on to say that now that the required payments had been cleared by the MoIB, it would be extremely unjust if media companies were to refuse to pay their employees’ salaries.
