The new budget and auto policy have finally become effective, and the public is eagerly awaiting a wave of decreased prices through it. However, they must be cautious and not believe the news about decreased prices unless it is from official sources.
Images of an ‘official notification’ from Honda Atlas are being circulated on social media platforms, suggesting that Honda Atlas Cars has reduced the prices of its vehicles by Rs. 140,000, and that the new prices reportedly became effective on 1 July 2021.
We reached out to a number of Honda dealerships and learned that Honda Atlas Cars has made no such announcements, nor has it issued any notification of the sort to any authorized dealership in Pakistan. However, the contact persons disclosed that while reductions are being considered, the prices are unchanged for now.
Based on statements about possible price reductions from the company’s officials, the following are the fake new prices of Honda’s vehicles:
|Vehicles||Current Prices (PKR)||Expected Reduction (PKR)||New Prices (PKR)|
|Civic i-VTEC Oriel||3,979,000||120,000||3,859,000|
|Civic RS Turbo||4,699,000||140,000||4,559,000|
|BR-V S CVT||3,479,000||100,000||3,379,000|
The concessions offered by the government to various vehicle segments are highly anticipated by the public, but the automakers seem to be taking their time in deliberating on the next logical step that will provide maximum benefit to all the stakeholders, including their customers.
