PIA Announces Special Discounts for Vaccinated Travelers


In a bid to accelerate the vaccination process against coronavirus, and boost the government’s inoculation process, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 10 percent concession in airfare for travelers 50 years and above.

The new discounted rates will be effective from today, 10 June, however, this offer is only applicable on domestic flights.


PIA to Induct New Aircraft Into Its Fleet

The national air carrier introduced this offer to encourage travelers above 50 to get vaccinated and then travel at discounted rates.

PIA CEO Arshad Malik said, “The PIA actively seeks to boost the government’s vaccination campaign”.

Meanwhile, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has launched a countrywide mass vaccination campaign under a three-pronged strategy which will be based on voluntary vaccination by all citizens.

The government will also launch an awareness campaign for public and private sector employees and make it mandatory for the public sector employees to be inoculated by 30 June.
