Lahore Qalandars Head Coach Reveals Why Pakistan Will Lose in England

Lahore Qalandars’ head coach, Aaqib Javed, believes Pakistan will find it tough to beat England in the upcoming limited-overs series. Javed feels that Pakistan does not have the right team combination, and the current squad does not possess the skills to match up with the current ODI World Champions.

Javed was highly critical of the squad picked for the tour and said that there is a lack of clarity and vision in the current national team management.

“Pakistan’s team seems to be in rebuilding mode. We don’t know who is going to play and who is going to be left out. The way they have selected the team is beyond my understanding. They have four openers in the squad. Where are they going to play them? If you see that Babar Azam has scored a lot of runs, then Fakhar Zaman has also performed really well,” he said.

Former fast bowler believes that Pakistan does not have a balanced squad and pointed out the issue of the fragile middle-order. He said that the national selector and the team management have completely ignored the requirements of the team and have selected the team based on their preferences.

“What is their planning? Does no one in Pakistan know how to bat at those positions? You make a composition where you have options for each spot in the lineup. I think we will see a very strange batting order in the upcoming matches,” he remarked.s

Pakistan will face England in a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series in the next few weeks. The ODI series is scheduled to be played between 8-13 July, and it will be followed up by the T20I series, scheduled to be played between 16-20 July.
