Amazfit is a brand known for its fitness-based smartwatches and bands, but the company is now releasing a pair of TWS earbuds. These earphones are also optimized with health-related features such as heart rate tracking, posture tracking, and more.
The Amazfit PowerBuds Pro is a pair of standard wireless in-ear buds, but the highlight is its health-related features that are typically not seen in earbuds. These earbuds are fitted with an in-ear PPG heart rate sensor that can track your heart rate during workouts and sleep. You can simply tap the buds to get a heart rate reading and it will also alert you of abnormal readings.
The built-in accelerometer is used to assess your cervical spine angle, which keeps track of your posture and alerts you when needed. It also keeps track of your listening habits and suggests you lower the volume as per WHO’s hearing protection standards.
The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) makes use of a three-mic system to block out outside sounds up to 40dB. These earphones are also IP55 water-resistant and connect to your phone using Bluetooth 5.0. Battery life goes up to 30 hours with the charging case.
The Amazfit PowerBuds Pro will be available for $150 once they go on sale later this month.
