Sindh to celebrate centenary of Mohenjo-Daro discovery in 2022

Sindh will commemorate the Indus Civilization’s centennial, which began with the discovery of Mohenjo-daro in 1922.

A meeting was convened here with Sindh’s Minister of Culture, Sardar Ali Shah, in the chair, to plan the centennial celebrations of the Mohenjo-daro excavations in 1922.

The Director-General of UNESCO and archaeologists from around the world will attend the celebrations marking the centennial of the Harappan civilization’s discovery at Mohenjo-daro.

The committee determined that the Sindh Culture Department would publish two books on Mohenjo-daro and that an animated video would be released as part of the centenary celebrations.
