80-year-old man receives a PhD from Balochistan University, making him Pakistan’s oldest PhD scholar

The University of Balochistan’s convocation took an unexpected turn as the university’s oldest PhD scholar approached the stage to receive his diploma.

Haibatullah Halimi, who is eighty years old, has set an example for former government officials by obtaining a higher education in the field of political science.

Governor Zahoor Ahmed Agha, who was the primary guest on the occasion, presented the elderly but dedicated scholar with his degree.

Agha approached Halimi and hugged him before bestowing the degree and congratulating him on his accomplishment.

The governor informed the audience that the governor’s passion and accomplishment in obtaining a PhD at such a young age should serve as an inspiration and source of pride for everyone who seek education.
