Honda Pakistan Earned 1180% Profit in 6 Months

Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HCAR) earned Rs. 1.86 billion in after-tax profit in the half-year ended September 30, 2021, compared to Rs. 145.85 million the previous year. In comparison to the previous year, this represents an increase of 1180.36 percent (11.8 times).

Due to a resurgence in auto sales following the relaxation of pandemic-induced lockdowns, sales in the first half increased by 77.30 percent to Rs. 47.74 billion, compared to earnings of Rs. 26.93 billion in the same period previous year.

The rise in sales volume to 16,765 units in the first half of the year boosted revenues.

However, the scrip of HCAR was trading at Rs. 218 at the time of filing this report, down Rs. 4.83 or 2.17 percent, with a turnover of 166,700 .
