Although DDR5 has only recently been released, Samsung has stated that it is already working on the next generation of RAM.

At its 2021 tech day event, the South Korean technology behemoth revealed information on many next-generation memory standards, including DDR6, GDDR6+, GDDR7, and HBM3, according to ComputerBase.

Samsung announced that work on the DDR6 standard has begun, with JEDEC, a semiconductor engineering association with over 300 members, including some of the world’s leading computer companies, assisting them.
