Muhammad Waseem Becomes The First Pakistani to Win World Boxing Council Silver Title

The World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver World Title has been recently won by Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem, who defeated Colombia’s Rober Barrera. Waseem has become the first Pakistani boxer to win the championship. Waseem won the fight very easily despite suffering significant cuts above his left eye and right cheekbone.

Waseem, who is often known as “The Falcon,” has come a step closer to obtaining a crack at the Flyweight World Championship. Waseem faced Barrera for two titles: the WBA World Eliminator and the WBC Silver. The 34-year-old also made history when he became the first Pakistani to win two world titles.

Moreover, the Falcon accepted Barrera’s challenge and stood victorious after a dominant performance in the final two rounds of the fight. Waseem won the bout by unanimous decision, with scores of 115-113, 115-114, and 117-11 in his favour.
