Apple introduces ‘Self-service repair’ to let you fix your iPhone 12 and 13 at home

Today, Apple has a significant announcement for the repair business. Customers will be able to do their own repairs on their devices with the new “Self Service Repair” programme, which includes standard repairs like battery replacements, iPhone screen replacements, and more.

Customers will have access to Apple genuine parts and tools to conduct repairs through the new self-service repair programme. Self-Service Repair will be available first for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, followed by M1 Macs in the future, according to Apple. The initiative will begin in early 2022 in the United States, with additional countries following throughout the year.

Customers will be able to get genuine Apple parts and tools for the most frequently repaired modules, such as the iPhone display, battery, and camera, in the first phase of the programme, according to Apple. “Additional repairs will be offered later next year,” the business said.
