The Punjab government plans to construct “Piyala Lake,” which is located near the Indus River in the Ghazi Ghat section of Dera Ghazi Khan city.

DG Khan Shiekh Ejaz, Deputy Manager Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab, revealed this to reporters.

He stated that the Bowl-shaped Lake, also known as Piyala Lake, would span 200 kanal and have a depth of 80 feet beneath the surface.

Usman Buzdar, the Punjab Chief Minister, dispatched a special team of tourism specialists, archaeologists, and TDCP officials to perform a survey and prepare a feasibility report for developing the lake as the best recreational spot for locals.

Piyala Lake will get a boating area, a walking track, a gazebo, and other amenities, according to Shiekh Ejaz.

The lake’s water changes colour from blue to green in the winter and green in the summer. The additional amenities near the lake will also aid in drawing visitors from all across the region. Shiekh Ejaz also mentioned that the lake was a favourite destination for migratory birds.
