Saudi Arabia Unveils Scheme First Time Ever For Skilled Workers in Pakistan

Recently, Saudi Arabia announced a new scheme for skilled labour in Pakistan. It will host five occupation at an initial stage.

Pakistan is the first country to avail benefits from the newly launch skill verification programme.

At the moment, over 2.5 million Pakistanis are accomodating in Saudi Arabia and it’s the main source of remittance to the South Asian country.

Dozen of examination halls would set up all across the Pakistan. A test would be conducted i.e written and practical both which need to be clear before processing an application for Saudi work visa.

Five occupation has been selected initially by the Kingdom which includes electrician, plumbing, welding, refrigeration/air conditioning, and auto electrician.

Further, mentioned 5 occupation would be categorised into 160 categories for people looking forward to move for work visa.

Officials of Saudi Arabia informed that they have strong bond with Pakistan and it’s the first beneficiary country to avail the programme.

Further, 8 different cities of the country would have test centres to hold tests.
