Google’s handy new tool, Circle to Search, is no longer just for Samsung phones. You can now try it out on your computer using the latest beta versions of Chrome and ChromeOS.
But there’s a catch: it’s hidden. Instead of being called Circle to Search, Google has named it “Search with Google Lens.” So, if you’re curious, look for that option in your Chrome settings.
If you’re using the latest test beta version of Chrome on your computer or Chromebook, you can try out Google’s new Circle to Search feature. On a Windows computer, go to the three dots in Chrome and choose “Search with Google Lens.” Then, circle something on the screen to get instant results.
On a Chromebook, just use the Google Lens icon in the address bar. Google has explained this feature in detail in its latest update notes. It is described as follows:
Google Lens in Chrome makes it easy to search anything you see on your screen. Search within a video you’re watching, a slide in a livestream, or an image on a webpage. Google Lens will give you answers right there, in your tab, and you can continue browsing with the new information you’ve found.
Google’s new Circle to Search feature will be available to everyone who uses Chrome on their computer or Chromebook in the next few weeks. This is because the test versions of Chrome will soon be released as the official versions.
