In Swat, a person driving a government vehicle, accompanied by a woman, was involved in an altercation in a crowded market, during which they broke the windows of another car and opened fire. According to the police, the shooting occurred after a minor argument. The individual, a resident of Landi Kotal, borrowed the government vehicle from a friend who is a government officer and came to visit Swat. Following this incident, the police apprehended the person at the Linda checkpoint.
Recently, in another incident in Swat, tragedy struck in Tehsil Matta when the roof of a school collapsed on Tuesday morning, injuring nineteen children. This unfortunate event occurred amid predictions of heavy rains across the country. Rescue teams quickly responded, transferring the injured children to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for urgent medical attention, with three of the children reported to be in serious condition.
A few days earlier, in Swat’s Khwazakhela tehsil, a school bus accident resulted in the death of one child and injuries to 41 others. The bus, transporting students from Abaseen School, lost control on a narrow bridge in the Asala area and plunged into a ditch. Rescue 1122 teams evacuated the injured, taking them to Khwazakhela Hospital and Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital for intensive care.
