Oppo’s Next Flagship to Come With Massive Battery and Blazing Fast Charging

Rumors continue to circulate regarding the battery capacity of Oppo’s upcoming Find X8 Ultra smartphone. Just weeks after tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) suggested a battery size of 6,100-6,200 mAh, a new Weibo post, also believed to be from DCS, indicates a slightly lower capacity of 6,000 mAh.

Despite the discrepancy, a 6,000 mAh battery would still represent a significant upgrade from the Find X7 Ultra’s 5,000 mAh battery. However, charging speeds appear to remain unchanged, with wired and wireless charging capped at 100W and 50W, respectively.

Oppo’s Find X8 Ultra is confirmed to feature a significant battery upgrade, according to Zhou Yibao, the product manager for the Find series. Yibao announced that the upcoming flagship will boast a 6,000 mAh battery, utilizing a new cell technology. However, he remained tight-lipped about the charging speeds.

While official details about the Find X8 Ultra are scarce, leaks and rumors suggest impressive specifications. The smartphone is said to sport a large 6.8-inch 8T LTPO display with a sharp 3,168 x 1,440-pixel resolution. The camera system is rumored to be equally impressive, featuring four 50MP sensors on the rear, including two periscope telephoto lenses for enhanced zoom capabilities.

Since Oppo’s Find X series of phones typically launch at the start of the year, we expect the Find X8 lineup to go official in early 2025. It will likely get a China launch before reaching the international market.
