The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) intercepted a tanker carrying milk deemed harmful for human consumption at the Bhera Interchange on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out following intelligence reports that a group responsible for supplying adulterated milk from Chak Mubarak near Bhalwal had resumed its activities.
PFA officials halted the tanker, which was headed to Islamabad, at the Bhera Interchange, where it was confirmed that the milk was unsafe for consumption.
Approximately 2,500 liters of contaminated milk were destroyed, and a case was registered at Bhera police station against Azhar Hayat, Khalid Mahmood, and Ghulam Raza Shirazi. The police also seized the suspects’ vehicle.
