Honor Magic V3’s AI Features Are Powered by Google

Berlin’s IFA 2024 will set the stage for Honor’s worldwide launch of the Magic V3 on September 5. The tech giant revealed today that the device will boast a trio of cloud-based AI features, all running on Google Cloud’s infrastructure.

The global variant of Honor’s Magic V3 is set to impress with its built-in AI capabilities. Among these, the Magic Portal on Foldable feature stands out, enabling users to run two separate floating applications at once. This advancement promises to elevate the multitasking experience for users.

Google’s contribution to the device’s AI arsenal includes AI Eraser, Face-to-Face Translation, and Notes Live Translation. While these features require an internet connection for processing and language packages, they are designed to enhance various aspects of daily life and work, from business meetings to travel and lifestyle sharing.

The Honor Magic V3 will claim the title of the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone, measuring a mere 4.4 mm when unfolded. The device packs a punch with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a minimum of 12 GB RAM. Moreover, users can expect Google services to be pre-installed on the device.

Meanwhile, rivals including Xiaomi and Samsung continue to push to make the thinnest foldable. Samsung is reportedly working on a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, which has been appearing in leaks lately.

On the other hand, Xiaomi’s Mix Fold phones are also known as some of the slimmest foldable which continue to get thinner every generation. The next generation, which will likely go by Mix Fold 5 can be expected to slim down even further to rival Honor Magic V3.
