The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial cabinet, led by Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, made several key decisions on Thursday aimed at improving governance and public welfare, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel.
To strengthen police capabilities in the districts of Tank and Lakki Marwat, the cabinet approved the creation of 791 new positions. Additionally, 16 new prosecutor posts have been sanctioned within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) to enhance the prosecution of terrorism cases. The cabinet also authorized the purchase of 10 additional armored vehicles for the police force.
In a significant development, the cabinet approved a draft law for overseas Pakistanis. This legislation introduces a comprehensive mechanism to address the challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis and their families, including an integrated grievance redressal system. The Chief Minister will lead the Overseas Pakistanis Commission, which will oversee the implementation of this law.
Additionally, the cabinet decided to organize Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Conferences at the official level across the province. These conferences, to be held at provincial, divisional, and district levels, will feature Naat Khwani and recitation competitions, along with special sessions on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
