KP Education Department Launches e-Transfer Policy for Teachers

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Education has officially launched the e-Transfer Policy for teachers’ transfers.

In a video message, Provincial Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai announced that vacant positions will be uploaded to the e-Transfer Portal by District Education Officers (DEOs) by September 9th.

Teachers can apply online for these positions from September 10th to September 20th. The relevant DEOs will verify the applications from September 21st to September 24th, and the final merit list will be uploaded on September 26th.

Following this, online transfer orders will be issued on September 27th. The education minister stated that all transfers will be conducted once a year during the summer holidays under the e-Transfer Policy.

He added that teachers will apply online for the advertised vacant positions, and their transfers will be approved based on merit through the relevant forum.

According to him, there will be no need for any recommendations or office visits. This process will allow teachers to focus entirely on teaching, as their transfers will be conducted on merit from the comfort of their homes.

In his video message, Tarakai assured that he will oversee the entire e-Transfer process, ensuring that merit and transparency are maintained at all costs. He also mentioned that the e-Transfer Policy includes various indicators, each with its merit points.

Teachers with the highest merit will be transferred to the relevant schools. He emphasized that manual transfers will be completely discontinued in the Department of Education. Furthermore, focal persons will be appointed at the District Education Office, Directorate, and Secretariat levels to monitor the entire e-transfer process.
